For $13.00, this is an absolute rip-off. I brought this for my upcoming trip to Kiev because I am only visiting Kiev, and I am not a fan of Lonely Planet guides (plus, the LP guide is years out of date) - but it honestly looks like someone badly translated some tourist attraction information off of some Ukrainian travel site, added some information from Wikitravel, and then printed the whole thing out of Microsoft Word in a ridiculously large font. I am hardly surprised the other Project Nomad guides have such poor reviews and I have no idea why this one has such a high one. The guide is ALL over the place, like someone just quickly jotted everything they could thing of about all of the main tourist attractions (the cave monastery, Independence Square, etc.) in Kiev with all sorts of useless points. Not a single map in the guide either and almost no practical information. What is scary is the Wikitravel article on Kiev has more information than this entire book! Project Nomad is a great scam - my book is headed right to the recycling bin. Hopefully Kiev/Ukraine will mainstream and current guide books one day.
There are not many guide books to Kiev, and this one will be useful. But note that it is only 97 pages long and these pages are small, with a large font, large margins, and double-spaced text. I estimate that the contents would fill 25 pages of a conventional book. Also note there are no pictures, no maps, no URLs, no language tips, and few details (for example, it says to bring electrical adapters but doesn't say whether Ukraine uses the same plugs as Europe or not).
This very skimpy book has no photos (at least the kindle edition has none). and very little to say. The historical summary is a joke. Admittedly it’s not very expensive, but just looking at Wikipedia tells the traveller far more about the place. I don’t understand the high ratings given by other reviewers for this book.

This is a great adventure book. A great learning book. Providing perfect travelling info. Author give full approach for that.
This is a fake travel book. Just a few paragraphs with big fonts to make believe. No names of writers or publishers. No use for such a product.
one of the worst travel guide I've ever seen. It's basically just a collection the most basic information you can find on wikipedia and printed out in enlarged text and double spacing. The content doesn't inspire traveling or provide any practical information for travellers.
Really helpful for my boyfriend on his trip to Kiev for the Champions' League final-- just wish it could have helped his team win!!
