My daughter (almost 5 now) and I love these books! They are not too long, not too short, and super fun! We have almost all of them, she loves to read them all the time especially the 'Night Before' whatever holiday or event the book is about. We started originally with the Night Before Preschool The Night Before Preschool August (2016) to help ease her into preschool a bit, we bought 10 other titles from this series since then and plan to expand the collection as time goes on.

My boys and I love all the 'Night Before' books. I love the idea of having an Eve for each holiday, as it can make a normal day feel festive. We like to read these at bedtime because these are the perfect length for a bed time story. They're long enough to get the kiddos calmed and settled but not so long that they get distracted and start looking for something else to do. I also love that it gets them excited for what is in store for the next day. These books have great illustrations, lots for the kids to look at and to keep them engaged. They are easy to read and understand and always good for a giggle. The story has a familiar feel because it is written in a classic 'Night Before Christmas' style, but they are all unique and fun.

I let my Grand Daughter give this to her daddy the night before Fathers Day ~~ she is 3 years old , her daddy read this book to her, it made a happy moment between them and he said it was the best gift ever, She was so proud and smiled the entire time he was reading... This book can take the place of high priced cards and will bring share time between child and daddy...

This is another Great Story ... ( like ALL in this series ).My grandkids & my reading program children simply adore ALL Natasha Wing's " The Night Before ..." stories.(I'm so pleased and... actually on-my-way into purchase-collecting them all!)

My children loved this series when they were little. As a Librarian at an Elementery School I also purchased them for the library. The students looked forward to each holiday story time when I would read them aloud. Some of the older kids would even ask me to read them year after year because they remembered them fondly. They're a great way introduce parody and interest kids in writing their own. Besides the predictive text is just fun! I highly recommend the whole series!

Love the rhymes. Very enjoyable to read to children of all ages. We have the whole collection and read them for the associated occasion.

We have several other books by this author and I plan to buy all of them for my daughter. Even though my infant daughter is too little to enjoy these books, I really enjoy them! I love how cute and catchy they are and how they follow "the night before" theme and rhyme. I hope this author continues to bring out more and more titles in this series. Love them!

As one who is seriously considering the ketogenic diet to treat my daughter's epilepsy, I've been eagerly devouring any books even remotely related to the ketogenic diet. As the possibility of implementing the diet begins to loom, I finally ordered this book.To say it's disappointing is an understatement. I'm giving two stars only because, I suppose, if you *started* with this book, you might find it helpful. But I would not suggest starting here, nor would I suggest buying it at all.From the outset, I found it to be strangely organized. The first chapter is on holidays. Don't get me wrong: holidays are important and absolutely should be included in the book. But as the first chapter, before "Coping with the Diet"? No. I also found it to be badly edited.In addition, it was highly repetitive. I would read something and think, "Didn't she just say this a few pages ago?" It's a short book, with at least half devoted to recipes, so the repetition is especially odd and noticeable.With regards to her recipes, I didn't find them to be particularly helpful. She gives you a recipe, but doesn't *tell* you anything helpful about it--like the ratio--because she wants you to do the math yourself. I do not deny that learning to do the math on your own is important, but how are these recipes meant to be useful if you have to recalculate them all on your own?Finally, her suggested notes for caretakers, while basically helpful, are strange written. For instance, in the proposed note--which the author actually used--, "Grandma's instruction for a parents' weekend away," Grandma is instructed thusly: remove foil from frozen dinner, replace with plastic wrap, heat in microwave until warm. And: put a straw cut to 2/3 its original size into the cup of cream. I'm sorry, but is Grandma brain dead? If Grandma needs to be instructed how to use a microwave and toaster, then I would suggest she is not capable of caring for ANY child, let alone one on a special diet.I cannot recommend that anyone buy this book. I highly recommend "Fighting back with Fat" and "The Keto Cookbook." These books contain all the info that is to be found in "Keto Kid" (plus more!) they're arranged better, written better, and are FAR more helpful.

This book was very poorly made. The recipes all blend together and are lazily written. The pictures make the food look disgusting and the recipes aren't detailed enough for beginners.

The title of this book is completely misleading. It is NOT about supporting a Keto diet with your kids. Do not recommend this at all.

This book is an excellent resource for anyone preparing for, or going through, the diet. The author includes personal experience, resources, recipes, product suggestions, & diet tips. A must read for parents of "Keto Kids." It has been an invaluable resource for us and was very reassuring when we were preparing for the diet for our little one, and is still a great resource for us to get ideas and even a form of support from. So grateful she wrote about her family's experience!

This book is fantastic for parents with children on the ketogentic diet. I love the combination of fact, recipes and personal experience. I just marked 15 new recipes I want to try last night. So glad to have options other than those from the hospital. The author shares her own journals through their families journey. I have found these incredibly helpful as I go through many of the same thoughts, fears and experiences. Great to know someone has been there before me.

Since my 5 year old started the Keto diet I was anxious and nervous. This book is short and sweet. But best of all very informative in a plain English parent to parent setting. You receive good advice that makes sense and has actually helped me help my child transition from a no schedule almost no limit of food to a highly restricted diet.Highly recommend.

WOW!! I do not think that we would have been as successful if it wasn't for this book. My son was 3 when starting the Ketogenic Diet and this was a life saver...really. This is a MUST HAVE if you have a child starting keto.

The book choices the author made were some of the best I have read. I loved reading the detailed descriptions of the climbs and the climbers mighty efforts to reach the summits. Great climbs often result in great loss of a favorite climbing friend. Sharing in those efforts and losses from excepts of some of the best climbing books leaves me feeling like I had been there.

This is not as thrilling as many of the other books I have read in this genre. Each story is written in a common sort of way without a lot of details which makes them nore mundain, I found myself skipping some stories because they couldn't hold my interest. I prefer to dive into a book about one story that I can't wait to get back to.

Near Death in the Mountains is not for the squeamish!Can you imagine being stranded in an ice cave at eight thousand feet, the raging wind gusting in excess of 100 m.p.h., frostbite swelling your hands and feet so badly you can't even dress yourself, you become delirious from lack of water, and are unaware of the passage of time? These conditions can be part of the countless, serious conditions the mountain climber may encounter.Near Death in the Mountains features some stories well suited to the seasoned veteran, who can appreciate the detailed and technical accounts. (I was mostly lost.) Aspiring climbers can learn a great deal from these comprehensive and broad narratives.The book also includes accounts more suited to the adventure reader. The vividness of description brings the rugged mountain peaks clearly to your mind. The terror of the wind comes alive as you hear its furry and feel the intense cold encompass the exhausted climbers. The possibility to freeze your fingers, nose, or toes in only moments of exposure becomes a startling reality.Near Death in the Mountains lays it all on the line, with distressing accounts of carelessness, gung-ho attitudes, or over-confidence resulting in the loss life or limbs. However, extraordinary courage, strength, and endurance in the pursuit of a dream give others a positive picture of the sport.Don't forget an extra blanket.
