Beautifully presented and informative. I would recommend this book to anyone with a special interest in Georgian architecture and interiors.

Exactly the book I'd hoped it would be. A wonderful source of information and inspiration.

This book is by far the very best book covering this subject matter. Also it is simply stunning. The text is very informative without being dry. Of my collection of over 400 hardbacks this is the one I love most.

This is a beautifully realized book on a most deserving subject. The text is highly informative and the images are vivid. The craftmanship of these interiors is astounding. Early Georgian furniture and interior design is so elegant and it does not overwelm, like its contemporary styles like Louis XIV, the woodwork and molding in these homes is just breathtaking. If you have any interest in the Georgian style or just appreciate beautiful interiors then you will love this book.

As a classically trained english architect I find myself in a unique position to authoritively review this book. And what a book. That perfect blend of photos (most of them colour), drawings - both plans and renderings, and an informative text. This is a must for anyone interested in early Georgian Interiors, as it comprehensively covers interior architecture, decoration, furniture/artwork, and the general design aesthetic of this era. If only we still had the artisians and cratspeople to still build like this. It is an inspiration to any aspiring classical architect.

Within five minutes, I knew this was just awful. While it was nice to know that his wife was "cured", how about those who are dealing with a spouse who has something other than breast cancer. Where there isn't a major marketing campaign to support research. Where the doctor says there aren't many clinical trials and that if this one Chemo doesn't work she may have 6 months to a year. Help me handle that. Frankly, I am getting tired of being told to be hopeful and positive when even the doctor(s) have offered little hope. Help deal with a woman who never smoked (Lung Cancer), was an athlete, cooked and ate healthy, raised a successful daughter and was a highly respected credit to her community.Tell me.

I bought this book for my mom when my grandma went to the hospital for ovarian cancer. My mom read it and my grandpa read it, too. Great prayers found in this book.

Book was thoughtful, but not exactly what I was hoping for. I didn't realize when I ordered the book that it would have such a strong spiritual bend.

My daughter has cancer, and her friend is terminal (age 14). I think I can use some of the things in there to encourage us both.

The beautiful illustrations by Michal Sparks add to the overall calming effect of this appealing and much-needed little gift book.I wish this book had been around over thirteen years ago, when I received my own diagnosis of cancer. I would have made it "required reading" for all those close to me, and most of all for myself.A few months ago, I nursed my sister-in-law as she succumbed, very quickly, to terminal cancer. She died within seven weeks of her diagnosis. This time, I knew of this book and immediately sent away for it from our mail-order company. Sadly, it arrived too late for me to give it to the other caregivers, but I passed it on to them anyway. Even though their loved one was already in Heaven, they still found the book to be an encouragement and one even bought other copies to pass on to family members.I plan to always keep a spare copy on my shelves for the future. This is an ideal gift for anyone who needs to care for someone they love, who has cancer.

Those who grew up going to church are very familiar with the topic of spiritual gifts. I would encourage those who didn’t grow up in the church to read as well if wishing God’s help to make a difference in the lives of others through your talents, interests, skills, and abilities.J.D. Myers greatest insight into this subject may be that God desires to empower us to love and serve not just those in church but those we encounter in all aspects of our life. J.D. explains “the church” in the Bible isn’t referring to a building but individuals seeking to make a difference in the world.There is a Spiritual Gifts Inventory at the end of the book that many will find very useful. But, don’t overlook Chapter 4 – How Can We Know Our Gifts? The Chapter is easy to read and offers several ideas of how to discern our gifts to help others.Chapter 5 rightly disputes the notion that some gifts are better than others. That is good for us introverts. Extroverts often get credit, though they don’t need it because others are telling them what a difference they are making. The great news is God loves introverts and extroverts the same. Introverts can make a difference in ways extroverts can’t.Now, those who grew up going to church want to understand more about gifts such as tongues, prophecy, etc. The book does a great job of discussing whether some gifts no longer exist and how we can understand such gifts.WHAT ARE YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS concludes by encouraging all to embrace their unique gifts. This book by Jeremy Myers is easy to read and is very practical in its explanations.I like the way Jeremy highlights the fact that these gifts are not only for church services but for the world out there as part of our testimony. Each gift is explained in such a natural way that makes total sense. I found new aspects of the gifts that I've never heard before which encouraged me to relook at my own giftings.I definitely recommend this book.

I found this book to be well written. The author's presentation was well researched and insightful.

Jeremy Myers pulls out all the distractions that keep us from understanding our spiritual gifts given to us from a loving God .What a wonderful Gift ,thank you.

According to Mr. Myers, we shouldn't. In a simple presentation, he offers his view of the Spiritual Gifts, and some of the characteristics for each of them (with strengths and pitfalls). The book also suggest five simple ways of discerning your gift, including a test in the end. While a test can be useful, much more useful are the other ways, like asking yourself what YOU think the Christians should do more...Overall, it is a nice approach on the subject.

I can always recommend any book by Jeremy Myers. He has a gift to present theological issues in a new and refreshing way. The issue of Spiritual gifts is always a huge talking point in the church. You will be amazed how down to earth he explains it in this book.It is really worth the read.

I suppose in the book version not too bad but certainly for the Kindle usless! impossibe to reference backward and forward, having to use page button to find anything!

Very high in calories, uses lots of canned goods, think Campbells soup, plenty of fat free items. Which btw are loaded with sugar to compensate for lack of fat. Nothing special here. Do not waste your money. This book needs a complete rewrite.

I expected recipes using fresh food ingredients and detailed nutrition info. Big disappointment! Ingredients often include canned veg. or canned condensed soup such as canned corn and cream of mushroom soup. Nothing fresh there! Nutritional info. too basic, just plain Fats, Protein and Carbohydrates. No breakdown info on Sat. Fats/Unsat. Fats/Cholesterol. No Carb details- Fiber/Sugars. Makes informed healthy cooking impossible! Don't Bother!
