This book contains a lot of information appropriate for beginning to intermediate rabbit projects. While it carries the FFA logo, it is also appropriate for 4-H members as well as the general public. Profiles different rabbit breeds, provides basic care, housing and feeding instructions and gives a brief introduction to showmanship.The book does not go into a lot of detail and is more of a general guide on how to get started. I would not recommend this for someone who is breeding/showing professionally as it does not have enough detailed information for more advanced rabbit projects. However, it is great for kids as it uses simple language and covers a lot of the basics.
This is a very good book for someone starting out *owning* rabbits. There was not, in my opinion, enough covered in detail on raising them. But, the entire book is written relitativly neutral (instead of "this is the ONLY way I'd do it" style) and it is packed with a lot of great information. The pictures are fantastic, and show various breeds. There is also a section on showing if you want to get a taste of that. I wouldn't say this is the only book for your library on bunnies, but it's a good addition. It would be good for children, as it's very basic and easy to read. I'd recommend this book.
This is a very detailed tutorial about raising rabbits, and it tells me all I need to know, including diseases.
This book seemed like it was written for a kid raising a rabbit as a pet, and just gives you the bare minimum of what you need to know about raising rabbits, if you are going to have a full on rabbitry for meat or show, a couple of better books i recommend are "storey's guide to raising rabbits" by Bob Bennett, and the "official guide to raising better rabbits & cavies" which is put out by the American Rabbit Breeder's Association.
This book was terrible and was of no help at all. The book contained mostly pictures that were terrible and unrelated. The context of the actual book, the information was so basic that it was all common knowledge or stories about her and her rabbits rabbits.I ended up returning it. Waste of money.
