I stumbled upon this book after my son was diagnosed with autism. The book is a heart-felt account of the author going through her son's recovery of autism and her own recovery of her deep-rooted issues by Heilkunst. By fate, I found another woman whos daughter had recovered from autism and Allyson Mcquinn was her doctor. It had all clicked that Ally's story was meant for me to read, and her understanding of healing our children and ourselves is personal to her. Allyson McQuinn is brilliant, and I could not thank her enough for writing this book! I recommend it highly!
What an amazing book. This isn't some stranger writing about hypothetical situations... This is a real woman writing about her real-life experiences, and it's not all pretty on the road to major transformations.I would recommend this as a must-read for anyone considering Heilkunst, or for someone who has already started and would like just a good overview of it. It is amazing what can be done so far beyond the scope of classical homeopathy.I didn't actually read it until a month and a half or so after starting Heilkunst with Allyson. I have a much better understanding of what we are actually doing with the remedies, and it is motivational and comforting to know you can come out on the other side in a much better place: physically, emotionally and spiritually.
This book has been many things to me. First of all, it's a remarkable story and it's beautifully told with heart and truth. When I was first introduced to Heilkunst, it was my guide to learning how it all worked. As I have progressed (now entering my 4th year of Heilkunst treatment), it has become my reference book and the place I turn for peace of mind when I imagine I might be the only person who has ever experienced the sometimes-rocky "Path to Cure".Allyson tells a brilliant story of determination, deep soul searching and above all, courage. I keep this book handy when I need her inspiration to continue on my own path.
